"The key to growth is the introduction of higher dimensions of consciousness into our awareness.” ~ Lao Tzu The Importance of Neural Connections As the conscious mind is exposed to information from the environment (parents, peer groups, school, social media, etc.), the information will either be accepted or rejected. If accepted, the subconscious mind will begin to program itself through the creation of neural connections through the synapse. The more repetitive the information, the stronger the subconscious programming. It’s important that we understand we’re constantly being exposed to information and we have the power to reject it if it’s not going to wield us healthy results. If we don’t reject unhealthy information, behaviors, emotions, or experiences immediately, our brains will simulate the information and later require a reprogramming to change those neural connections (see synapse below). As the saying goes, it’s easier to do things right in the beginning than to try to correct it later. Our brains are trained how to think by every incoming stimuli from infancy until death. The bad news is the more unhealthy our environment when we are younger, the harder it is to reprogram our brain in adulthood due to the established neural connections, and how they affect our nervous system. The good news is that we know the brain can be retrained due to the current research on neuroplasticity. The quickest way to do this is through self-hypnosis. Visit shorturl.at/gzEI7
To become aware of anything new requires our consciousness to be introduced to new information over a period of time in order for the information to be assimilated (ex: self-hypnosis). This is how we can deliberately increase our own awareness level. Again, this is why reading personal growth and development books is also vitally important, as is being exposed to the right mentors (online and in person), having the mindset to seek people out who are performing at higher levels in life than you are, and to maintain a growth perspective throughout one’s life as opposed to a perspective of complacency, self-righteousness, or limiting beliefs. So, take a look at your life. Whatever results you are experiencing is a direct result of your level of consciousness. If you don't like what you're experiencing or feeling, you can change it by improving the neural connections in your brain to improve the quality of your thoughts, specifically by using self-hypnosis and/or repetitive experience.
